Hello! My name is Jay Stringer-Vaught, and I am honored to serve as the Director of Library Services here at Maysville Community and Technical College. Whether you’re taking classes in Maysville, Cynthiana, Morehead, or Mt. Sterling, the library is here to support you on your academic journey.
I believe libraries are more than buildings with books—they are places of connection, discovery, and empowerment. My goal is to ensure that every student, faculty, and staff member feels welcomed and supported in using our resources, from research databases and study spaces to testing services and one-on-one assistance.
As a first-generation college graduate and lifelong library advocate, I know firsthand how transformative access to information and supportive library staff can be. I am committed to making sure the MCTC Libraries remain accessible, innovative, and responsive to the needs of our communities.
Whether you need help with research, want to explore new tools for learning, or simply need a quiet place to study, our library team is here for you. I look forward to working with you and continuing to grow the library as a vibrant hub for learning, creativity, and success.
