ENG101 MCTC Library Research Strategy

Knowing how to cite a source can be confusing. Some instructors will require the MLA format, while others will want the APA format. 

The difference between these two formats is the way the information about a source is arranged.

• MLA (Modern Language Association) style is most commonly used to write papers and cite sources within the liberal arts and humanities.
   
• APA (American Psychological Association) is the style of choice for writers, editors, students, and educators in the social and behavioral sciences.
